CNC METAL PIPE FRICTION DRILLING & TAPPING MACHINE
This machine adopts new flow drill technology for forming inner flange holes on square tubes, which is used as underfloor heating manifold. Flow drill technology is a method of making holes in metal in which the material is pushed out of the way with the aid of heat from friction. The process is also called thermal drilling, flow drilling, form drilling, or friction stir drilling.
This machine is capable for friction drilling holes on any metal sheets / pipes / tubes. In the same cycle, it will finish tapping simultaneously.
Comparing to traditional flange hole mold forming method, friction drilling directly drill and tap the holes on tubes.
This machine is CNC control, 3-axis, with two heads, one for drilling, another for tapping. So it is also capable for any other profile / plate hole drilling purpose.
I Main features:
- New Form-drill method, capable for various metal material
- Very quick process, only 2~6 seconds
- Clean process, no material waste
- 3-axis servo drive, high precision guide rail and screw
- CNC control, simple control image
- High speed and torque motor, big capacity
