I Description
The machine is designed as automatic assembly welding for transformer E, I lamination. 
After clamping by the cylinders and being fixed, the welding gun will enter into welding area at constant speed under the effect of servo motor. Then the welding gun will finish the welding process. In order to achieve higher automatic, we designed the machine with feeding and discharging conveyer belt. It can help to save more labor force and increase production rate.
This proposal is the upgraded version for welding this product. It is designed to use servo motor as the driving force for welding gun. The advantage is: more stable, simple maintenance, easier to control the speed. Disadvantage: more accuracy requirement to the mechanical driving position.
II Process
After assembly of the E and I piece, the electric reactor will enter into feeding conveyer belt, then enter into horizontal feeding cylinder area under the effect of adjustable-speed motor. The horizontal feeding cylinder will action, pushing the work piece into vertical feeding cylinder area. Afterwards, the vertical feeding cylinder will action, pushing the work piece into flat welding area. The left and right leveling cylinder will level off the work piece and compress it. The upper cylinder will action to compress the work piece. Then the left and right leveling cylinder will return to original position. Later, the servo motor starts to drive the welding gun into welding area. Then the welding gun will start welding. After finishing the setting welding length, the servo motor will drive the welding gun to reset. The upper cylinder will reset, then the discharging cylinder will action, pushing the welded work piece into discharging conveyer belt. Under the effect of conveyer belt, the work piece will be conveyed to the next process. The time between each action could be adjusted through touch screen. It is equipped with photoelectric detection switch to ensure the reliability of each automatic action.

4.1 Design Concept
  1. The Welding spots are good in looking, firm, and stable and reliable. Well consistency of welding spots.
  2. It could be used to weld other similar products after relevant modification of microcomputer data program. One machine could serve several purposes.

4.2 Machine Composition
  1. Main Body:Adopt A3 steel plate made gantry type body. It adopts reasonable stress center of gravity to ensure the stable intensity of the main body when conducting fast speed welding. At the meantime, it could provide stress supporting point and working platform for other actions.
  2. Power Source System: Japan Panasonic AC DC 315 argon arc welder as the welding power source.
  3. Pressurized and Locating Mechanism: Adopt the South Korea SANWA pneumatic parts as the pressing source of the machine. Adopt the working manner that the bottom bears the stress from the top to guarantee the reasonable machine structure and quick locating mechanism to conduct locating function.
  4. Mobile System: The mobile welding distance is designed as 57mm.  Since the mobile stability and constant speed is of quite importance, so the machine is designed as servo motor as the driving force. Besides, it is equipped with finish machining good quality slide way and driving screw.
  5. Control System: Adopt Japanese Panasonic PLC as the control hub of the whole machine, is in charge of reading, transmitting and controlling all kinds of signal processing and coordinating with various external instructing transmission signal mechanism in order to ensure the validity of all orders of execution of the machine. Simple testing and operation. The welding spot distance and welding speed can be set through the menu easily.
  6. Detection System: Use Omron optical fiber detection device together with alarming device. Effectively ensure the normal working of the system.
